ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Yep... Their days of finishing 8th are over for the forseeable

REally? Cos i can easily foresee them finishing 8th next season if they had European football to deal with. There's 3 teams closer to them then they are to Chelsea and theyre only one extra point ahead of United (in comparison to Chelsea).

Listening to the weirdos you'd think Chelsea and Liverpool were neck and neck and both about 20 points clear of the pack. In reality Liverpool are more likely to finish 5th than 1st.

Because the teams below them still have European football to contend with after January. I think it's fair to assume that Liverpool will be the closest challengers to Chelsea this season

The best team normally wins the league. First half of the season that has undoubtedly been Chelsea, I'd argue Arsenal have played better than them too. They've been fortunate to take 3 points in games they've not always deserved to but haven't been punished too much by bad luck when playing well. The Swansea header last minute comes to mind, Funes Mori missing, Allen's miss for Stoke. They could very easily be getting the pitchforks out for Klopp now had luck gone the other way, it's not as though they are winning 13 on a row barely conceding looking imperious like Chelsea are. If they kick on after January and makntain top form for the rest of the season then fair enough but if they just try and scrape it by riding their luck, hoping teams miss big chances against them, relying on their generous penalty count, or Coutinho to hit 30 yarders, then there'll always be another Bournemouth or Palace game that catches them out. If they want to win it they've got to show they're the best and I'm not sure they're showing that at the moment. Even though they won all three games (which deserves credit of course) there were large periods against us Stoke and City, three poor sides, when they were being convincingly outplayed.

Earlier in the season they were ateamrollering teams but now it feels they're hanging on a bit. At least that's what I'm hoping anyway!

Everton fans are ruining Ross Barkleys confidence say's Stevie Starfish. Were only a couple of hours into 2017 but Stevie seems to be laying down an early marker for the dunce of the year award.

Chelsea have won the last 13 games, and everytime they've been top at Xmas/new year they've gone on to win the league and will do again.
I hope so mate I see Chelsea ending with 93points ,Spurs with 84 and them and United ending up with 82.This includes Chelsea losing at Anfield and Spuds.
Of course I could be wrong and we may have a match at the end of April against Chelsea at home that we might need to lose.

Can't see that being a problem at all.

Hes also quoted as suggesting that Ross Barkley from a selfish regard would be better off leaving ... and suggests though that should he go to Tottenham and fly, we'd then be asking why the club sold him. Gerrard needs to shut his monotonous cliche´ riddled grid....and realise that at least no Evertonian however critical has burned Ross Barkley's shirt. Unlike his own fans pyrotechnics with his shirt during the getaway that never was.

I saw a lady I know, massive Liverpool fan, over Christmas. Said basically they were doing well and her immediate response is 'this is our year'. I stuttered for a minute because why they think THIS is THEIR year makes no sense to me. Basically said Chelsea are walking the league and she said "that can't last".

This is someone who is a pretty pragmatic person on literally everything else. But apparently it's THEIR year.

fffffffffffssss
