ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

If Chelsea repeat the 49 points from the first half of the season.... then the RS (20-44)

Need 54 points from 18 games (win every game from here to the end of the season) just to equal that number of points - but, we're told "this is our year"

Must admit, felt sorry for Klopp and Liverpool today... Having to play 3 games in a week was a bit ridiculous.... Gave Sunderland and the rest of the league teams an unfair advantage..... Oh no wait, Sunderland had 3 games as well, and so did everyone else.... Pipe down Klopp!

Some fella on the Radio was quoting the time from the 1st minute of the 1st game to the last of todays i.e. 3 games over the xmas period. Can't remember the numbers like but I'm sure he said r/s was 140 odd hrs whereas Chelsea 240 or something, so are Chelsea not playing 'til after the ACN ?

How dare the league expect 1 of their games to be an away match.

Chelsea unlikely to repeat their points haul tbh. Even Liverpool are unlikely to do so. It's been a great half season for the top 6 but as relegation threatens the bottom teams will start to bite back and they start to tighten up to take points off top teams.

6 points is always a big gap to a good team like Chelsea, it's one thing clawing back the points to get level with them but then what normally happens is you slip up and they go on another run (as happened in 13-14) and move back ahead. Getting ahead and staying ahead is difficult unless Chelsea have a huge collapse.

Yes but the press were banging on about Chelsea doubling their points total so I thought it worth mentioning that they couldn't be caught under those circumstances. (If Liverpool fans can chat s...e then why not do the same for Chelsea?)

Imagine asking the title winners elect to play a team battered by Burnley and decimated by injuries just two days after they'd both played. The witch hunt continues.

Said to my RS mate about the amount of injuries Sunderland had, and that games wise it was the same for them, he reckons it's different for the RS because of the amount of distance they cover in games, when I started laughing he then turned his attention to how they were robbed by the ref and how every decision went against them.

Just watched Klopp's post match interview. Poor guy seemed quite stressed out. Didn't have much to say apart from blaming their performance on having two games in two days. Surely most other teams played at the weekend as well???
Really wasn't happy today. Bless him.
