ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I think it's hard not to be drinking the Kopite cool aid on Klopp. He is a one trick pony manager who won a couple of leagues in a poor German league while Munich were stuttering. Once Dortmund got their act together he floundered. He left Dortmund mid table. Had it not been for the winter break they could well have gone down (they were bottom at the point of the mid winter break). He then cut and run. Tuchel has inherited his mess and developed them further than Klopp could.

Before Dortmund he took Mainz down. When Real Madrid were looking for a new manager it wasn't just that he wasn't shortlisted, they openly discounted him. Utterances of this mean a lot. In the world of football elite clubs know what he is.

A final point on Klopp is he's lost each of his last 5 finals. He's a serial bottler of big games. A trendy Moyes. None of this is a knee-jerk reaction, He is very good at doing 1 particular thing, (in much the same way Moyes was for us). When the rules of the game changed, he has floundered.

The Kopites have almost cult like efforts to tell everyone anything will be ok. It makes for a compelling case. However believe me, the blip for them under Klopp was the 3 month spell this season, before he'd knackered his team and sides had worked him out. This will be the norm for him. He doesn't have the flexibility of a Pochetino or even frankly a Koeman.

Eh?!

Klopp won two Bundesliga's and reached the CL final with them...then Tuchel takes that team and method of play and has them third in a two horse race. Tuchel is a decent manager but saying he has bettered Klopp is off the charts mad.

Was I mate? Then you wont mind presenting those posts then will you?

You on the other hand now see Klopp as merely 'good' but before he arrived at Liverpool you thought he was good enough for the biggest jobs in world football...

Ha Ha Ha.

Keep being wrong mate. It'd confuse me if you started getting stuff right.

spot on analysis. Especially about the blip, the more sensible lads on here called it as it was. Small squad, low on quality running their absolute arses off for the first couple of months and looking impressive. Like we all said, you can't do that for 38 games consistantly, and you definitely can't do it in a league as fast paced and as competitive as the prem. You will also get found out with a shoddy defence, as you won't keep scoring 4 a game like they were and then tendency not to keep clean sheets will always be there. There's also no winter break over here, you can re-charge your batteries and go again, which is probably what happened in that season he nearly took dortmund down.

They have a paper thin squad, how that has actually happened given they've spent about 2 billion, i don't actually know. But they have made the same mistakes year in year out for about 7 or 8 seasons now and that goes to their fans as well, they don't learn.

Lallana has had 3 good months in the 4 or so years he's been there, what was his contract again? £150k a week or something terrible?

Off to bed shortly mate, but will vault the living crap out of you tomorrow about klopp.

Crticism for being wrong from the bloke who thinks gundogan plays for United, that depay played right wing and who thought di Maria played with schneiderlin last season, ok mate, your the most ignored poster on the forum mate, probably the poster who gives the mods the most work, and one who has almost no shred of respect left, besides for those who think your an expert fisher etc, and if your not a wum or fishing you don't even have that do you, anyways good night mate, will leave you in peace to continue your life's dream of annoying people on an internet forum.

I said could not did mate, which was deliberate. By the end Klopp had them in a right mess. They were bottom well into the second half of the season and he left them half way up on a sharp decline. Tuchel has steadied the ship, certainly not returning it to the heights Klopp did but also not the impending shipwreck he was leaving.

You can't knock Klopp. He won two leagues, as I said at a time when Bayern were weak. As they strengthened and got their act together Klopp and Dortmund failed to compete with them. Now many of Klopp's top players (your Levandovski's) now play for Bayern. He did very well but I do think he's a 1 trick pony. Anyone who watched Dortmund in that final season will see the similarities to what Liverpool are going through now.

He walked away from Dortmund and took the cowards option really, before he was properly found out. We have nothing to fear from Klopp, he's a terrible fit for Liverpool and the fans will turn quickly. Benitez was the best manager they've had and I'll be fearful when they try to replicate someone like that (an Emery for example) and get off the vanity project of moneyball and trying to convince themselves their 1 billion spend can be spun as some ethical victory against the financial big boys.
