Hope so! Obviously I would love to see the likes of Sanchez and Özil playing a blinder this evening and Liverpool being their recent woeful self.

Yet as I mentioned earlier, playing at home on a Saturday evening, which now seems quite common, can unfortunately often inspire them.

Arsenal need a good victory to keep them potentially dropping from 4th to 6th (the sacred 4th CL spot from them), so perhaps that'll inspire them.

But on the other hand Arsenal this year, regardless of their talent, have on occasions looked the most spineless bunch Wenger has fielded in years.

I can already imagine the dross they'll spout about beating Spurs and Arsenal and their greatness while conveniently ignoring Leicester et al.

Theres a reason to that spinelessness..mutiny has started. All of the players arent in for Wenger anymore

First he was slagging them off (you know the way he does when he gets all excited) for having to play Milner at left back and Lucas at centre half. But he saved the best for Sado Mane. When everyone was claiming that their poor run of form in January was down to Mane being away at the ANC. He said MANE?. MANE?. Who the hell is MANE?. Not exactly world class is he?. This is Liverpool. They should have better players in every position than Mane. It was totally boss. Merson was just losing it and Thompson was sitting next to him squirming cos he knew he was right, for once.

Actually, Thompson's just said the RS won't finish in the top 4 and then Merson asked him if he thought Everton would.lol

Every now and then he goes off on a rant and totally loses it. He did it with us about this time last season, going on about our defensive play and throwing away games we were in control of. Said our fans would be taking one look at Leicester and asking why that wasn't us. He was right then too.

I agree he's an idiot but some of his comments hit the mark. Generally I've found him to be pretty reasonable with us. His outburst on the RS today was classic though.:)
