They've still (rightfully tbh) got a bee in their bonnet over the guard of honour we gave Funes Mori when he got sent off for injuring Origi last year at their place, he should've been Booed off for his performance frankly. Whispers that Mane is out for the season though so we can get back at them with a distasteful song of our own and the cycle of malice continues.

Difference is my friend, the baby is Gerrards, it was what people like to refer to as 'banter'. Colemans leg break is real.
If Gerrard had a DNA test and the baby wasn't his, then I wouldn't find the song as funny as I do right now.

I'm not arsed in the slightest about them singing it, in fact the more they do it the better for me.

They are making themselves look like a right gang of idiots and even though everyone nows how thick they are, it's always nice to see it highlighted again and again for everyone to see.

More embarrassment for their fanbase?? Yes please, do carry on...................

Just as an aside, and not directed at you PB as you're alright, but I hate the word "banter." A couple of pages ago there was homophobic "banter" about Firminho on this very thread. He's a weirdo, an oddball but all this "licking balls" "surprised to see him do that with a woman" oh god I cringed. I actually reported that as it's not on even if it is directed to RS players. I dare say there are gay people who read this forum and stuff like that should be treated the same as casual racist banter IMHO. /rant.
 

I can't be doing with negativity, but football fans seem to love it. When City beat us at Goodison the other year, were they all singing celebratory songs about their history and how they were going to win the league? No, they were all singing that song about Gerrard slipping. I appreciate that was funny, and sure, sing it a couple of times during the game, but after the match it was literally the only song they were singing. i just find it bizarre. If it had been me I would have been singing songs celebrating my own players.

That's not much of a difference. Both chants are the kind of thing degenerates sing... End of.

Im the same, I don't mind 'banter' but I don't like it when someone is acting a tit and says, its just banter. I think the tit for tat chanting of the babys not yours, no trophy for what feels like a lifetime, is just two teams winding the opposition up. Like is aid, if it wasn't his kid then I don't think 39k fans chanting the baby's not yours, would be as funny.

Thing is Gerry, football has no common sense anymore, it has its fair share of idiots who hide amongst the crowd and say obscene things they wouldn't say in the street to a bloke 1 vs 1. The derby has some no mark shouting abuse to Baines on the touchline, the divvy would probably get knocked clean out had he behaved in the same manner walking down the street.
 

To be honest, we have little to complain about when it comes to distasteful songs.

We used to sing The Runway Song with great gusto in the 80s.

What I find sad about this episode is the fact that some cretin thought it so funny and witty that he whipped out his phone, made a video of like minded cretins singing it then posted it up on Youtube or tweeted it.

In doing so he further sullies the reputation of his fellow Kopites.

Agreed mate, but there were a lot of other songs sung in the Street End in the 80s that we would not dream of tolerating today!!!
