How the mighty have fallen though they are now playing for the fourth place cup like it's a cup final.
Only a few years ago they would have sacked the manager if he won nothing and finished fourth

Think the mighty fell a number of years ago mate, where have you been? They have only won a League Cup in the last
10-11 years.

Shocking return on the money they've spent... can only be seen as a massive failure.

The Rs have made more money from transfers than ANY club throughout Europe in the last 7 years. They have become a selling Club. I'd say a top 4 finish is a a massive success, after where they've been the last 2 years, given the competition for the Top 4. People on here keep saying 7th is a success for us after where we've been the last 2 years. We've finished 7th, despite 3 teams that finished above us last season West Ham, Leics and Stoke, having a dreadful season and dropping outside the top 10, whilst another one, Soton, finishing 17 points worse off (before today). I don't think our season has been that much of a success, I'd say we are about par, where we should be. Neither under nor over performing. Which, given the money we've spent and the reputation of our manager, I'd suggest that's not good enough. Especially as people on here keep saying that the RS will probably get top4 by default as the others are so poor, well, that just gives added credence to my suggestion that our season hasn't been good enough.

haha wind it in yer big meff...... up to a couple of seasons ago you had spent more money than any other team in the prem except for city.... almost a billion pound spent for no league titles.... like I said.. a massive failure. What you've recouped in sales is not relevant.. you have still spent a massive amount of money trying to win a title and you are the first ones to moan now that you can't compete financially anymore... suck it up sunshine.

Most televised games EVER in a premier league season this year, most points off of Top 6 teams and they won the league in October! Absolutely fantastic season for one of the most underrated managers in world football, almost as good as their famous 2012 league cup win against championship side Cardiff City. The glory days are well and truly back!

I'm not gonna get abusive, I'm better than that, I'll leave that to the cretins. I am not a RS, but, as always on here, that accusation always comes out when someone doesn't toe the party line. The fact remains, that they have become a selling club and have made more money from transfers than any other club in Europe. As many have stated on here, the Yanks seem to be having them off. What went on 10-20 years ago has absolutely bo relevance to today. And, today, you have to hold your hands up and say Klopp has done a good job, whilst cutting the squad right down to the bare bones and making a profit in the window, he will probably finish in the top 4, ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Utd.
Of course the net spend matters. I bet you change your tune when we get 70m for Rom and it doesn't go into our transfer kitty. We'll spend about 100m and get that back from Rom and a couple of others, and this place will go into meltdown. It only matters when it suits your agenda. Also, as of 2014, 3 teams had spent more than them (917m), City, Utd and Chelsea since the Premier League began. Let's not make things up to make it sound better!

YAWN !!

Anderlecht winning, Brugge losing.. another bullet dodged by the RS.

This had abslotely to relevance, WHATSOEVER, on their seeding. Which one is the bullet anyway? Ha ha

Anyway, CSKA are currently winning 3-0 at HT. which means the RS will be seeded if they get top 4.
