ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Doesn't mean they couldn't smile and say hello to the fans who have waited for them though. Even a high five ffs

I know they play for 'them' but im not calling the players out on this one, you can clearly see most of them are very uncomfortable and its making them look arrogant.

As you say, a simple smile, wave or thumbs up would come across better but they just seem to find it easier to pretend people arnt there.

Its easy for the money men to say no signing stuff but they arnt the ones with 5 and
10 year old kids who idolise them, pleading for a picture or an autograpgh.

see I don't even get the argument - match going fans who will go with their kids to the training ground to meet players aren't even the demographic that will blow £325 on a signed shirt
you're looking at wealthy daytrippers more for that I'd argue

Weird that they've gone for a faux Holland kit when it's us who have the Dutch manager

I had a look on RAWK to see what their thoughts are for the next season.

Universally they think they are guaranteed a top 4 spot, like it's not really a possibility this won't happen. Most are predicting top 2 and good portion thinking they have a chance of the league and going far in the CL.

Can the lurkers tell me why?

Last year, they had no European football and went out early in both domestic cups. IF Robles hadn't watched that shot in the Goodision derby OR it hadn't bounced perfectly for Mane then they wouldn't even have finished 4th.

So far they've signed a relegated fullback a Chelsea reject and some unimpressive kid. They're still clinging to the delusion they'll sign Keita and VVD but quite frankly even if they do get both (they wont) it's still not enough to prompt the level of delusion we're seeing.

They've still got Sturridge, Sakho, Moreno, Markovic clogging up space and hemorrhaging money every week. They've got rid of Lucas who was briefly world class when he was injured. He was never very good but he still played over half their games last season.

Every team in the top 7 has bought better than them. If Mane doesn't recover properly from his injury and Coutinho continues to pick up those niggles then they could really struggle this season.

I know delusion is pretty much their speciality but I'm just not getting it.

Lurkers, help me out.

Because they have signed Keita and Van Dijk in secret so this makes them favourites for the league.

More the club are thinking that most of the people who turn up to Melwood to get stuff signed are regulars who then sell the items on ebay etc.

That may well happen but it will be a small minority, compared with young kids who wouldnt dream of selling a shirt/ball signed by Gerrard/Suarez/Coutinho and I cant see it really having that much of an effect on global sales - but I suppose every penny counts.

I can see them getting one of Keita or VVD.

It'll be just after Neymar signs for PSG & Coutinho goes to Barcelona.
