heads falling off all over the shop as they move rapidly into the denial stage

This is the best from the mod on there

first post

Correct. This is all on the back of someone everyone has never heard of saying he has agreed terms.

The Coutinho topic is locked for a reason. There is no further official news, no more news of a further bid and Klopp has said he isn't for sale so that's that.

If that position changes, PM a mod and we can discuss the magic one in his own magic thread

second post

Last time please.

third one

Three times I've asked politely over the last couple of pages. No more Coutinho discussion. He isn't for sale. There is nothing further to add

If that changes, you will know as the Coutinho thread will be re-opened for discussion.

Really the last time...

As an amusing aside, seen a load of reds slating the guy who broke the story about Coutinho agreeing personnel terms, with such brilliant insights as 'how would some south American journalist have any clue what was happening with a player in the premier league'

Kind of missing the point that the journalist is a Brazilian as is Coutinho really aren't they...

Aye they locked the Coutinho thread and are currently banning any talk about Coutinho on the forum - with threats of locked threads and bans for those who do talk about him.

Strangely their VVD and Keita threads haven't received such treatment...

Vintage RS cultish behaviour....their usual selective change-by-the-day mindset - 'if we don't talk about it, it means it isnt happening'.

So they bought Salah for around about 35-38m, now reports are they will be selling Can for around 30m
Bought Robertson for 10m, reports are they are trying to flog Moreno for a bit over that
Bidding 70+ on Keita - and looks like thats being funded by them selling Coutinho

Sell to buy in action
The way the owners work is not to spend money but to accumulate it and reinvest that, the owners work on a sell big buy low policy so anyone thinking them buying VVD and Keita wasn't going to be part financed by selling Coutinho was crazy.

I'm really hoping that Suarez comes out now and gives an interview advising Coutinho to join Barca, head would literally drop off and explode at the player they still worship doing that :)

Coutinho will either be gone in order to pay for them making a big money signing (as was always going to be the case), or if he stays it will be trumpeted as some kind of triumph and will allow them to get away with actually not signing either VVD or Keita and the fans will lap it up as a victory.

Hopefully Coutinho goes, they get neither Keita or VVD, they lose Can as well and then they draw Steau Bucharest in the CL knock-out round and get eliminated by them - now that would-be a very poetic form of justice - and we may even have to do a banner for the next Derby game with Steau Bucharest and a picture of the CL trophy on it - just for old times sake...

Yup - it is also why i half suspect they sabotaged the VVD transfer deliberately as to give the excuse why they can't get him mate, 60m on a 26yo centre back who will represent a huge loss come the end of his contract - and very little room for profit if sold in 2 years say, doesn't fit the modus operandi.

Coutinho will get sold to fund them buying Keita - who at 22 fits perfectly the model of the clubs buying policy

The warning signs about them happened to be given away when Klopp said about Sturridge staying as it'd be not possible to replace him this summer due to funds effectively

“The German believes that any money received for Sturridge would be dwarfed by the amount it would cost to bring in another forward of similar quality,” writes Neil Moxley.

was the quote around the time

I get the feeling they're desperate to get Keita because next season (if it's a good one) all the big clubs will be after him. He's actually pretty good by all accounts
