I hope they keep hold of him. The lad won't mentally get over it and his performance will suffer and then next summer there will no longer be £100m on the table.
Agree with this. Believe it or not he has finished less than 90 minutes in over half of his premier League games. Not sure klopp rates him as highly as people may think. Plus I don't want them having over 100 mill to spend a should he go.

I find this very poolish!
"The Southampton situation is strange. I don't know what we have done to upset Southampton to the fact they are being so stubborn about it.

Well, they have literally bought their entire squad over the past few years. Good for Southampton to want to keep what they've built.

Also, are the people in charge of that club mentally challenged? With all due respect, the core of their team is the Southampton squad that finished 7th in Lallana, Mane, Clyne, Lovren and now they're apparently back in for Van Djik.

How do expect to buy the core of a team that finished 7th and win the league? It makes no sense. If they sell the Brazilian, who I think is by far their best player, they'll be left with Southampton with a little bit of extra sauce. How do they actually expect to put in a title challenge? It's a miracle they've finished top 4 last season to be honest!

Bullets in the post for Mr Whelan.. .

LIVERPOOL LOOK LIKE 'AMATEURS'

Former Liverpool captain Ronnie Whelan has criticised the transfer business done by the club this summer.

Writing in the Irish Independent, Whelan says: "Set against the business Manchester United and Manchester City have done, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp look like amateurs.

"Worse, Ronald Koeman and Everton have been spending like they’ve found a money tree.

"He [Klopp] has some gaping holes in his squad and by the looks of things, no more money to spend unless they take Barcelona’s offer for Philippe Coutinho."

Just heard a couple crackers as to why the away end at Hoffenheim wasn't sold out.

Supposedly Hoffenheim's ground is difficult to get to, and the other one was, the local area isn't that nice, and there's not much to do there ( thought the idea was to go for the footy, not a sight seeing tour)

But when you go as a FKW, you want people to see you. understand ?

Part of me wants them to fail to get Virgil VD but there's another, more devious, part of me that hopes to hell that he joins them and Saints complain about the tapping up... and the RS get an 18 month transfer ban.
