ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Imagine if our fans were even 10% as passionate and supportive of that lot.

There’s one major, major difference between the two clubs as a fan base; they get behind their team no matter what.

Just imagine if it was Everton who were 3-0 down against AC Milan in the CL final. There’s not a chance in hell we’d have been able to pull that back. They got behind their team and believed they could do it even when the odds were stacked against them. There’s just no belief that we can succeed, and that’s a large part of why we’ll never be as successful as them.

Somewhat reluctantly, I find myself agreeing that in general terms their support is more supportive. I've noticed over the years that whilst all fans groan at player mistakes, they tend to be that much more forgiving... not groaning immediately.

I might be wrong on this perception but we are demanding, increasingly so as the seasons slip by with precious little to hang our hat on, set aside actually winning a trophy.

We did okay last season ending up seventh and hopes were high for this campaign, but those hopes are fast dissipating and with them huge chunks of the kind of vocal support that the players might respond to.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation and I'm not quite sure between the team and us the fans exactly who is the chicken and who is the egg.

LOL ok mate, keep wandering round site humming YNWA and fist bumping fellow kopites. Probably hang out with the scaffolders....

Andy agrees with me and he’s a mod so his opinion is worth more @Bungle

Are you even an Evertonian mate? Why don't you jog off back to RAWK, tit.

Any need for the name calling? Reported.

It's good to find like-minded knobheads to back your viewpoint mate, I hope you're happy together in the Kop.

Shouldn't have skipped leg day BLF - snap his chicken legs Bungz.

The Players are chicken?

Resorting to name calling and petty digs when you’ve lost the argument eh?
This isn't chatbox BLF - I'm not part of the argument.
