That's an absolute shocker of a top. Doubt it's been done on purpose but wow, how has that even made it to the store? What next from Karma? 9/11 T-Shirts with planes on them ''enjoy your flight''.

Aah right, so supposedly its just the song and the year then. I looked it up and the song is actually 'what goes around, comes around' so is that a genuine mistake?

Either way its all a bit off for me. I'd like to think it was a honest mistake but am sceptical.

Seems a bit weird to me mate to make a shirt to commemorate a Bob Marley song, and not actually get the title of the song right. Also, why not put Bob Marley's name on the shirt to make the link between the song, and the year (why not just put 1996 instead of 96) it was released. To make the shirt red seems a bit iffy as well. Like you I would like to think it was a genuine cock-up, but I'm very sceptical.

Do you think they’ve made a hillsbrough shirt and Topman have said yeah let’s distribute it , nobody will notice?

It was probably just an honest mistake, but to put out a Bob Marley commemorate shirt about a song released in 1996 that was actually called 'what goes around, comes around' but on the shirt the designers have put 'What goes around, comes back around' makes me realise not much homework was done on this shirt.

Also, you would like to think that someone out of the numerous people at Topman would have thought to himself "Hmmmmm" I showed my missus the pic, and the first thing she said was "Is that about Hillsborough"

The choice of red (with white lettering) is a bit odd too.

Not exactly Jamaican are they?

Very suspicious.

What I thought as well Steve, not a very Bob Marley colour. The funny thing is as well, you're hardly going to look at it and think "That's a great tribute shirt to a Bob Marley song" even a die hard Marley fan would struggle to get the gist of what it's supposed to represent (they even get the name of the song wrong on the shirt) why not something like:

75 'No Woman, No Cry' done in the Jamaican flag colours.

They should have got me to design a shirt for them!

Whats so important about that song tho? I mean it came out in 96 but he died in 81? i dont get it, how can it be one of his well known songs when it didnt come out till then? is it really important enough to justify having a shirt made with it on? confused

I cannot believe for one moment at least one person in a managerial position involved in the the design or manufacture of that effort didn't make a link to Hillsborough.
I'm annoyed as a Blue. The reds will be fuming with good reason.

I heard about the t-shirt on the radio, and have just seen it. Absolutely shocked. I do hope it was done without any malice, but what the hell were they thinking? I can't believe that we're in such a small north-west England bubble that anyone outside it wouldn't realise what this represented.

I hope the rs rip Topman a new one over this.

For me, someone has known exactly what they were doing, and it's disgraceful.

Topman should apologise immediately.

If that was the case Groucho then a lot of heads need to roll at Topman because I don't believe in a chain of command from initial designers, management, pr, web and social media, distributors etc that not one person hasn't said "erm, this shirt could be seen as a reference to Hillsborough".

Absolutely ridiculous from a well known brand to show such a lack of awareness for something like Hillsborough

I can’t agree with someone knew what they were doing, if they did they are sick.
But I agree they should apologise for their oversight.

Saying that though, it seems too much of a coincidence, red, 96, Karma, how on earth did someone not pull it up before production.
