Yep, I just think City will outscore Liverpool 9 times out of 10.

Liverpool's main threat in this competition so far is that they have the players upfront that can outscore the opponents. That advantage just went out the window. Even in the last league game when City were depleted of forwards for the game they put 3 past Liverpool.
 
Hmmm, the only good thing is that after the Anfield game this season Guardiola is now aware what their game raising form at home will be like. As long as they score at Anfield and keep the score down they should be ok at the Etihad.

The key will be David Silva. He was missing at Anfield and nearly always is injured when City play liverpool. They’re a completely different proposition with him playing. Guardiola needs to wrap him in cotton wool for this tie.

One injury to Salah or Firmino and it’s all over. They’ve had a charmed run on injuries this season and Klopp is still close to botching it. Imagine if he’d had the types of injuries we’ve incurred and he was reliant on Ings and Solanke carrying the fight for half a season.

I'm amazed they haven't seen a major injury yet. The next 6/7 games of intense PL/CL activity will surely have an impact?

Either way, this is a derby that we need to target hard. They need beating in front of a hostile crowd baying for their blood.

If they have their minds half off their game with us, field a couple of weaker players, and we are 100% committed, and we can get stuck into these then we can overturn them.

At the very least I want to see some crunching tackles, a complaining Klopp and the rs moaning on Monday morning about how we have ruined their chances.

Against City, meh, field the kids.

Possibly. They are torn now, they're at risk of dropping out the CL, and if they take their eye of the ball in the league, they could be at risk of dropping to 5th. This happens... players look elsewhere... things go into decline.

I don't think they are a guaranteed top 4 team yet. The best players will jump ship like Coutinho and Suarez if the chance presents itself.
 
Just seen the whole draw and to be honest this is the best game by far. Not a chance Barca, Madrid and Bayern aren't' going through. I imagine both sets of fans are a bit gutted, nice potential few days out in the sun on the lash you know finger a few senoritas but nope a 35 minute train ride in the pissing down rain here we come :p

Even if they got top 4, if Barcelona came in for Salah do you think he wouldn't jump at it? Coutinho had that and it was all downhill to the exit shortly after that.

Salah couldn't give a flying one about Liverpool, just as Suarez and Coutinho couldn't.
