Every time I see his name it makes me smile. Years ago I was pottering about vaguely listening to Radio 5 live when a Kopite came on claiming they’d invented just about every football chant/song going and how he was fed up the way other clubs nicked “ their” songs. The presenter asked him for an example . “ Well there’s our “ John Arne Riise” song which everybody pinched from us. The presenter asked him to sing it so he went “ John Arne Riise, there’s only one John Arne Riise, John Arne Riise etc etc” .
Cue an incredulous presenter, “ But that’s a song called Guantanamera , it’s been around decades, fans used to sing songs to it in the ‘60s!” . “ Naw, it’s the John Arne Riise song , we sung it first, people just copied us , that’s where you heard it”

I thought the John Arne Riise “song” was set to the tune of “Hey...Hey baby”.....

He was given club leave in December to be with his wife in Spain, who gave birth very prematurely to their son Mateo.

Mateo was fighting for life in as incubator, touch n go if he would live or not. Since then their son is doing well and all is good.

This is why he was out of the squad several games.

Don’t try and paint a club or a city as doing this when one prick has done it. The establishment and right-wing society have enough help in painting originally working class structures and cities as morally bankrupt without supporting them. One person did this and it’s pretty snide to come on to a fan forum generally favourable to slagging off Kopites just to get some points for it. Try to get an owner who doesn’t profit off slavery and dictatorship if you are actually bothered about morality and the way dead people are treated

So Coutinho says Barca should sign God, AKA Mo Salah, I’m being serious here when I say, if that’s true then the Brazilian is bang out of order.

Just reading his agent, despite the rumours, has denied that Salah is about to sign a new contract, the plot thickens.
