This supposedly lost signing is taking an Everton-length time for the other side to close. I’m inclined to think that it wasn’t as close as reported and Everton are still in it. A journalist who covers Almeria reported that Everton is still in with an increased bid and expects it to be decided today.

Sound like nonsense to me, both clubs have had bids accepted already supposedly, if there’s anymore $$$ being thrown about it will be in the direction of the player and agents / intermediaries
