Electric car advice

When the Sinclair Electric Scooter failed - did our government not learn from that ?
Hydrogen cars are the only answer to replve the current combustion engine 🫠
Takes a fair wack of lecky to make hydrogen*, sounds a bit counter productive to me.

* so called 'green hydrogen' projects (hydrogen made using 'renewables') struggling to get off the ground / going bust / having funding (state subsidies) pulled due to lack of economic return...

Just sayin like

A hydrogen engine, specifically a hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE), uses hydrogen fuel to power an engine similar to a traditional gasoline engine. Instead of burning gasoline, it burns hydrogen, and the primary exhaust product is water. This technology is distinct from hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), which use hydrogen to generate electricity to power an electric motor.
A firm in Germany have come close to get the price down , but have lacked any financial backing from government's .....

London have Hydrogen Engine buses.....

It’s most the infrastructure and worry about a battery needing to be replaced that’s putting me off them (especially 2nd hand). I’ll probably go petrol or diesel but seeing as I don’t know anyone that lives with one day to day I thought I’d see what people who live with them actually thought. I used to play 5 aside with a lad that had one and he’d have to park it at the Tesco about a mile away then walk to footy to do his weekly charge. That was a while back though and I’m not sure if the infrastructure has come on from 4 odd years ago
If you have to replace the battery, you may as well buy a new car. The cost of a new battery, is ridiculous, both in monetary and life value.

Remember, no petrol/diesel car has ever had a mechanical failure with its more complex ICE that stopped it completely dead, and this EV "battery failure" is the first thing that has ever potentially gone wrong with a car.
Yes, I think we forget that cars have not always been as reliable as they are these days ...

My neighbour got a Electric car a few months ago. All he ever seems to do is charge it none stop (as he got one installed). When i had a look to see how much they were to install, it seemed to cost a 1,000 but like most things it could be a lot less, or even more

If they are Green where do the dispose the massive batteries on all cars when they become defunct ?
