seeing as push bikes are being penalised for road use, can we even up the score some? helmets required by law for all travelling in cars? and absurd high charges for off road cars? if mountain bikes are fair game for the road tax man, can the sloane rangers be hammered for having the capacity to besmirch the off road scene? I would happily pay £50 a year if it meant there were cycle paths/lanes I could actually use.£50 per year less than a £1 a week plus insurance plus speeding fines plus a passed test like other road users if they use cycle paths which 98% do not they should still pay all above imo..

£50 for my 11kg bike is about £4.50 per kg. A 2500kg Range Rover could be around £11k.

Its all about choice mate as for cyclyst they should pay road tax & insurance over the age of 18 years old ....
as for a horse & cart how about the methane gas .... Its just got expensively stupid IMO my car is very economical on petrol hence the £20 road tax with less emissions ....

They can speed more than 20 miles where you live- they can cause accidents = they should pay road tax & insurance & pay spèeding fines too- also fit number plates & have bike MOTs at Halfords etc a good revenue for thd DVLA .. for 18 years old above .....
