Elstone to leave

The issue being that the people who regard Elstone highly are Elstone himself, his wife, Mick McCarthy and his kids.
The problem with Everton supporters is they always want a scapegoat. There is always a sacrificial lamb on the field and it appears that Robert Elstone is one of a few off it. I have never met the man , have never seen him at work and have never met anybody who has had dealings with him so I can't claim to know if he is good at his job or not.

I would guess the same is true for 99% of the people on here but that won't stop them criticising.
Elstone has been ceo under Kenwright but kept on by Moshiri and it appears is now being head hunted by rugby league.. this is hardly the cv of an incompetent.

The problem with Evertonians is we want and demand success. Our crest is our motto and Robert Elstone has failed miserably. I bet when he was proposing to his wife he thought "ack she'll do", he is a negative loser and good riddance!

To be fair he has been around long enough to do something that makes you sit up and take notice. Loads of clubs had similar sponsorship deals to us without having the stature or recent results that we had while he has been CEO. Not saying he should get what the top clubs have pulled in but there should be a comfortable gap between us and the likes of Hull. Our earnings have been hampered by the merch outsourcing deal we have, did he negotiate this in the first place and if not why hasn't he looked to end it and find something better?

Looking from the outside he appears to have freewheeled picking the easy option, (yes Mr. Chang we will go renew with you if you promise to send me six pack every weekend) and messed up on contract negotiations (Gosling/Barkley off the top of my head). What else should a CEO of a football club do? Only when Farhad came in did we gain traction on any sort of reasonable deals.

Some people have the knack of sounding very competent but provide little off the back of it. I'm putting Elstone in that category.

Reluctant for him to leave. What time does April fool finish?

He'll be here for years to come no doubt, same with his mate Kenwright and their cronies Allardyce, Shakespeare, Lee and Walsh, plus the majority of the schit houses that make up our first team squad. Happy Easter everybody.
