Elstone to leave

As suspected. Same old, same old.

Everton seem to have a tendency to promote from within. Personally think the club would have done well to recruit externally - new ideas and all that.

Elstone: “Put simply, Denise embodies Everton. She embodies the People’s Club. To have her on the board just makes perfect sense.”

It should be interim but we all know Kenwright will have her earmarked permanently.

Sod getting a top notch CEO who would see through the cabal of losers in the board room. Just get the lass in who's good at organising local community work.

If Elstone Allardyce and Walsh all go in one summer then Moshiri gets a pass for now on not getting rid of the root of the problem which is Kenwright. He needs to be the next on the list though.

Its all well and good but its who you replace them with that counts.

Elstone and Alladyce out but Denise and Silva in isn't a step forward imo its just shifting chairs on the titanic.

As expected not ground breaking, she probably deserved a crack at the top job though. So I will hide my reservations and she gets a clean slate from me but if she performs similar to Elstone she is not getting years of grace.

Can live with DBB as an interim CEO but if she gets the role permanently then it is a nail in the coffin for the Moshiri regime.

They have to do better than looking no further than the opposite chair in the boardroom for an appointment as pivotal as this.

Very discouraging.
