23-14 in shots to Sweden.. 9-6 in shots at goal.

England were hardpressed during the last 40 minutes, but managed to save the game to penalties. Hope they don't play as bad in the final as they did after they got their 3-0 lead.

Anyone want a ticket for the final? totally depressed, so undeserved win for England. After 3-2. i thought we gonna turn this one around

England have some troubles for the final.. Hart, Agbonlahor and Campbell are all suspended and not eligable to participate in the final.

Seems strange how Rodwell has'nt started seeing that he did in the previous meeting with Germany where he scored the equaliser.

I know England have been forced into playing Walcott on his own up front, but some support from the seriously inadequate non-defensive midfield would be sensible (Johnson, Noble, Milner and someone else who has been so insignificant I don't even remember him. OK, I looked it up and it's Cattermole). Muamba's been OK, Gibbs is excellent (but not helped by Johnson) and the right back (Cranie?) is out of his depth.

England defeated themselves tonight. They should have won, thought they were the best team in the compitition.

Shame for young Rodders, he will be back though.

That Oazi Lad was class.

You've got to blame Pierce, once Germany scored we didn't have a clue, his game plan went to [Poor language removed], he didn't know what to do, so he did nothing. Walcott as a striker was a waste of time, the krauts had him sussed from the start. Pumping the ball up to him all the first half was a joke. Second half we played a bit better but putting Rodwell at virtual right back and throwing Richards up front shows Pierce lost the plot completely. Shame, we should and could have won this.

Agree 100%

Rodwell should have started after his last performance against Germany. MOM, papers full of him, Fergie sniffing around.

Good crop of players, should have won it, but Pearce has not got a clue. (n)
