Great preview there Ghost.
Hands up who thinks Old Fab still doesn't know his best team?

Which manager actually does? Long gone has been the 11 players and nobody else. I'm sure TxB will agree with me here - but Capello has picked a squad based on who he believes will fit into his system, so we have to have faith in his decisions.

Surely Capello was conflicted yesterday by subbing two by halftime. You could see his and Beckham's face when the cameras panned over to them. Not naming a #1 untill two hours before the contest worried me.

Ok, well let me retort.

Milner and King were both gambles as Milner been ill all week and we all King is like a paper airplane.

He knew his No.1 a while ago, but wanted to keep it quiet for some reason - which I don't really understand but he had made his decision I'm sure of that.

I wouldn't have said that Algeria's defeat to Slovenia was a "suprise", Slovenia are no great shakes but Algeria are utterly, utterly terrible.

The difference between Rob Green and the Algerian 'keeper is that the Algerian is actually that bad.

England 3-0

I agree. On paper, you would have fancied a Slovenia victory.

I just have this feeling Capello has a lot of weight on his shoulders and was really pissed by the press and their cameras rolling on every movement that the players and he made outside. The players need to come together to start a good run. Nothing gets the smiles back on the faces than a win.

Absolutely, I think also he feels the same way we all feel about the press - who lets be honest do more harm than good, but they believe themselves to be arrogant enough to kind of do what they can to get the story.

I hate them all, apart from those who risk their lives to report back on war torn events - they deserve medals, but football journalists, really snidey horrible specimens.

Defo this.

How do you see England lining up? Algeria seemed like they only wanted to counterattack v Slov today...I think their only chances for goals against Eng will be breakaways on the counter so a great-play athletic keep...hmm...who would that be?

Surely it wont be the same starting 11 as the US game...dont need 2 subs by half :)
