Really important for Lyth this innings coming up. Don't go chasing anything. Needs to get into his head that strike rate isn't as important in test cricket. Really needs to be not out at the end.

yep, he has the chance now to get a 50 or close whereas it was looking yesterday he'd have nothing to gain. taken a couple of good catches to hopefully give him confidence.

That Broad episode was great. Any other nation and I would have accepted they had a point but not the Aussies. Gilchrist was treated like a leper for walking.
 
pretty sure stokes has achieved 0/10 in this match. 2nd ball duck, 0 wickets and wasted a review ha. did take one catch i suppose. didn't he throw away a couple of overthrows as well.
 

England will win this test but they let the game drift last night. Once Johnson had gone they should have gone for the kill a lot more. Ali wasn't threatening and Root should have been on.

There should have been no chance for the Aussies but now they can have a charge.
