I honestly think if you picked a team from the crowd at Goodison, they’d at least give San Marino a good game

5-0 is not that impressive when you consider a top side would have put at least 7/8 past these

they employed the same tactics we did against man city by playing very defensively especially in that second half to avoid england getting behind them.

England didn’t move the ball quickly enough or move the defence block enough.

When playing against a block like that you need to move the ball quickly and against essentially ammeters this shouldn’t be a challenge.

This is exactly right. At the end of the day, this 'league' structure often comes down to goal difference. Five goals from 32 chances is a very poor return. DCL scored two but according to reports missed two gold plated chances too.

First half I thought they did. Should have scored about 7/8 . DCL, Lingard and Sterling all missing absolute sitters.
