Its Terry. First of all he's been god awful this year and now he's a red card waiting to happen. Even Michael Dawson?! is better now. The only reason to play Terry is that he's still a force and can grab a goal on corners.

$tevie Me is also a 5 car pile up waiting to happen. He's been a shell of himself and he's playing out of position. He probably should release his "We were s#$%, buy my book before the WC." Liverpool would be smart to flog him off to some team offering stupid money though hopefully they won't.

Jags could have had a shot at the starting position if he somewhat resembled last years form. I think if Cappello was smart enough (he's not) to start Baines, he would do extremely well. Cole is a better player but Leyton is the only player on the left side who wants to get wide while Gerrard, Cole and Lamps are always getting in each others way cutting inside.

Even if England plays well, no team wins the WC without having to get though one match on pens. These are your pen takers: Lamps, Gerrard, Rooney, Defoe/Heskey/Zamora, and Barry. Good luck with that the only 2 I'd trust is Zamora and Rooney.

Ah, the 3-6-1. I remember it well.

I actually think Arena did decent for the US until his god awful selections in the last WC (sticking the RW on the left side and the LW on the right side was the ultimate in brain dead moves). In his defense though, his only world class talent, Landon was afraid of the ball in that WC.

Lampard always seemed to get unfairly blamed for something so I'll go with him.

To me Lamps never plays well because he is always getting cut off by Gerrard. If you count the times that Gerrard gets in the way of Lampard's runs it approaches double digits a game. One nice thing about the Baines's performance in an England shirt was that Gerrard hung him out to dry forcing Baines to provide all of the defense on the left side and yet Baines still performed well.

I've heard an almighty rumour today, on what could be looked into as a scapegoat for England.........Not saying it's a reason for why we looked very poor over 4 games, but it's quite a story - Terry v Bridge esque........I'm not too sure on rules of telling tales, but it's something to do with Captains Role for England and much more

I've heard that. Most likely bullshit though

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too....would explain a lot though. I heard it will all be out in the open soon enough if true
