So not poor recruitment

That led to some of this. But we have not been compliant with PSR for the last two fiscal years, who knows what will happen for 6/30/24, and our owner has completely checked out. While our current DoF hasn't lit the world on fire, he also hasn't had the benefit of the cash others did, and largely has had to clean up others' messes.

Reality isn't an excuse. It's just reality.

Our problem is cutting a deal. Lack of funds (PSR wise) is restricting us so much. I feel without these restrictions we would have had Minteh or Gnonto. Saying that, I also believe we should be more aggressive when we have identified a player we want rather than alerting other clubs and making it a choice for the player. We are basically one of the bottom feeders and shouldn't give any inkling to our transfer dealings by being aggressive and quick with a practicable offer rather than too low ball so as not to alert other clubs. Make the offer acceptable to keep the vultures away. Only way we can do it considering our position and who our manager is

Ok so signing a striker who isn’t really premier league quality, nor fits the managers style, for £26m isn’t the reality.
