How is "I will play wherever I am asked" the same as "I want to be the RB for Everton"

What's that if not an intent to lay claim to the position.

The lad can see Everton's midfield is competitive even now. The RB position is up for grabs with an old pro on his way out and a younger player who cant hold down that position.

He's just being sensible.
