Don't kid yourself the real big boys we have to worry about are all in the CL at the moment. Those are the real threats in terms of winning the whole thing.

Yeah I know - and not many who start in Europa end up winning it, normally it's one of those 8 failures... it's a disgrace.

It's also pretty much nailed on that two of those will be City/Roma and Ajax/PSG

Over the last 8 or so years, it's been about 50-50 between teams that have dropped down (shaktar, chelsea, atletico) and teams who haven't (porto, seville, zenit).

But the CL rejects are always a threat.

I hope Liverpool qualify from their CL group or finish 4th. If they get knocked down into the Europa they'll give it a real go, because it's their best chance of getting back in the Champions League next season. It's not like when United and City got put into it and just didn't care. It has value to those teams now.

Nope - Best 4 CL failures join the 12 group winners. Worst 4 CL failures join the 12 group runners up.

Then each 16 are drawn against the other for your Round of 32.
