The 3rd placed teams in the cl groups drop down to the europa.

So the round of 32 is 24 teams from the europa league groups and 8 from the CL groups.

8 champions league groups with all the 3rd place teams dropping into Europa league (top 2 go on to CL knockout)

They put the 8 in an imaginary league table (points and goal diff) - top 4 join the Europa group winnners, the bottom 4 join the runners up.

Then thats two groups of 16 to be drawn randomly against each other for the Round of 32 knockouts
