Lol the old stadium was something else...saw them beat St Etienne there. The visitors brought their ultras who bounced for 90 mins - and a good number of fans who mingled in the main stand.
When we saw them play Nice at the NEW ground we counted the visiting fans in the corner....all 31 of them.
Everton fans will lift the roof, if it is closed. This is going to one night to remember. i haven't been so excited for a game in along time- four of us going from Bedford

Ha I saw them play a Slovak team and it was mental, the away end seemed more full than the home ends and defo more noisy. We had tickets behind the goal but just walked around most of the first half cos it was freezing and raining, ended up squeezing in with everyone else near the halfway line where there was some cover!

Yes, mate, we had tickets just beside the Evertonian block.
I#ve been to the friendlies in Morecamb, Wolfsburg, Bremen and Paderborn too + a few homes.
Facebook helped a lot to keep the contact, Nuremberg half marathon at beginning of October will be the next date an Evertonian is coming for a visit.
Everton fans got a good reputation and a good press too, for their visit to our city.
I think it will be the same in Lille

What a cracking story, love stuff like this.

What was the opinion of our support that night mate ???

Not a chance they will check every fan for ID, and any with English ID will be refused entry. Up to ten thousand evertonians on the ale since Wednesday stood outside the ground in a not too pleasant mood. Yeah that will work......

Yep, agree!

The LOSC fans on here have said about being refused if you're too drunk though, so there might be a good few thousand... ;)

If we don't wear Everton colours and don't say a lot on the way in then I'm sure it'll be fine, same as England.

I remember a guy with the thickest scouse accent you'll ever hear trying to tell Yorkshire police he wasn't an Evertonian once at Leeds. Everyone was watching in fits, even the coppers were laughing - to be fair he argued pretty well, but he didn't get in the home end.

Can't see anything about ID on the information leaflet they sent me and as people have mentioned they wouldn't want a couple of thousand Angry drunk Everton fans outside the ground having been refused entry.

Looking forward to this match so much, been to Villareal and Bucharest with tickets in the past and Fiorentina and Alkmaar without and didn't get in to the last 2, so not actually been in the stadium to see us win a euro away game yet! They bloody owe me for that farce in Romania as well!

I do not really remember from the match, mate, I was weak and nackered from permanently drinking day before and matchday
and went home just after match.
Blues were everywhere in the city, banners and chants and that evil ball kicking arround.
when I first met these two guys I am still friend with (+some more now), father and son from Prescot, at the day before the match,
I had heared about that cancelled tickets and did absolutly not like that.
so I asked them whether they were served with, and when they said no,
I went to buy them ticks in the nearby Club shop, secretly, they should not see that they were for some Blues.
At the end it showed, that the Club sold tickets to everyone, maybe the same that got cancelled;
the shops were crowded with Evertonians

Was a great day, I loved it.

I went to Nuremberg for the World Cup, and fell in love with the place & people.

Bucharest....

Bet you were fuming.

I've only been to Nuremburg so I've got a 100% record

world cup in Nuremberg was good too, very hot but cool days
-------------------
what club in Bucharest was that ?
I've been to Rapid with Nuremberg, think we were about 1400.
I gave me the 80ies feeling, 20 hours in train

At the time yeah, but looking back it was a fun trip, out hotel was just some dodgy fellers flat so we swerved that (only paid like £5 deposit) even the taxi driver taking us there said are you sure you want to stay here? Ended up in some hotel suit taking most of our spends, luckily the ale was cheap! And then we walked back to the hotel from the stadium after the game, no other blues around us because they jumped on coaches provided, why we didn't i've no idea!

I remember Neville coming over with a couple of other players to clap us after and them getting called everything from the blues over there and rightly so!

Still think the players should have offered something to fans who travelled, even if it was only those on supports trips (which I wasn't) out of their wages after being beaten like that!

When I went to Lille I bought tickets freely, I know it wasn't Everton they were playing, but no one asked me for id on the way in.
Are they really going to leave thousands of blues outside?
Of course, this ticket mania /uncertainty could end if EFC announced the allocation we are getting - 10k would do it.

My dad rang about half an hour ago and "They don't know nothing yet" was what he got told.
