I'd still be going to as many grounds as I could get, Wolfsburg away is the start of my Europe adventure so we better stay in it!!

Well, its clear that the Lille game, was a first for many many fans. I doubt that would happen say this was our 5 year on the spin in it.

RM was only the second European game after 4 years for the RS but it didn't stop them struggling to get rid of their 3000 tickets. The truth is that cup competitions of any sort hold a special affection for Blues. Add the chance to get away from the wife and kids for a few days and.... boom.... 8,000 on the road to Lille.

Their expectation is silly, and sums up their fans.

We would take alot less, if we had Europe every season, that is nailed on. We would still always sell our allocation, as we are very wlell supported on the road.

I spoke to people in Lille that have been to Goodison once!!!

Yeah, it's easy to criticise Spurs fans for not taking that many fans to aways, but over the last 8 years, they've been given trips to places such as Madrid, Sevilla, Milan, Prague, Bremen and a hatfull of Belgian/Dutch teams, can you really blame them for not wanting to go to Moscow, Minsk, Belgrade et. al, obviously I can knock Newcastle and their feeble attempt in Athens.

We'll do well, we'd always take 3,000 to Lisbon, Germany etc, and if we got a huge draw ala Barca, Bayern, Inter etc.. we'd probably take 10,000+, but hard to tell.

We had it th
Serious question.

BY how much will our numbers drop, if/ when we have say 4 or 5 years in the Europa league on the bounce ??

Nope we won't you'll still have 70/80% of the ppl who have been going years still going and you'll still have the newer ones/newbies coming....

They aren't all as easy to get to as Lille was either.... or as cheap, not sure how many we took to Athens but given it was in the Olympic Stadium I'd imagine that we could've had as many tickets as we wanted ? Cost would've dictated it for many as there are only a certain number of flights available with prices rising as folk book & club trips cost the Earth.

It's all good & well poking fun at teams when they take low numbers to games, and we DO always take decent amounts, but imagine this.....

Still competing on all fronts when it gets to the business end of the season (which has happened for Wigan, R/S & City in domestic cups recently) we were mocking r/s for the fact they hadn't been to the new Wembley then BOOM they were in League Cup, FA Semi then final... 3 times in 3 months.... now Wembley aint a cheap day out EVER & you're doing it x 3. You get to latter stages in Europe & really dont want to miss that semi trip to the San Siro, Nou Camp etc, manage to gert through & really cant miss the chance of seeing us win a European Final.
What would all of that cost Like ? my guess is that those games alone, doing it on a budget would be more than you could do a full Prem season home & Away for.
Getting to Warsaw wouldn't be the easiest/cheapest & it could be in a season where the final is at a far more difficult venue to get to ( Utd v Chelsea for example.... limited flights and expensive as fook). Point being that you could attend the 'Have to' games 1 season & then maybe have to forgo them the year after (& possibly bigger games) cos you've overstretched yourself.

not sure the allocations are so big at a lot of your Barca's & Bayerns either ? didn't ATHLETICO ONLY GET ABOUT 500 TICKETS WHEN THEY WON THE LEAGUE ?

Yes, I don't think they (Barca) had any obligation to provide more under League rules.

Pretty sure Europa/CL has a minimum allocation requirement.

Infact........from the rules:

14.05
All clubs in the competition must make at least 5% of the total capacity of their
stadium available exclusively to visiting supporters, in a segregated, safe area. In addition, visiting clubs are entitled to purchase up to 200 top-category tickets for their VIP supporters, sponsors, etc.

I'm in danger of spamming now....but:

Wolfsburg away. 2 tickets together in the home end, behind the goal at the Everton end.

Block 40, aisle seats.

Paid 41 euros, will post to you recorded delivery if you send me £35.

Thanks, PM me if interested.

If we win at Wolfsburg we have won the group with a game to go. Even a draw will see us defo get into the knockout stages and even then possible winner on GD

If we do win in Germany it will give Bobby a chance to try out a few new players in the final home game, and also since it will be a meaningless game i hope the club make it cheap
