Been watching his development for the past couple of seasons and I can't help but think he's got the tools to go to the top.

Hope he persevered with Borussia as long as possible. Another example of Man City whaling talent...

Yeah I have the feeling maybe City's has overtaken Chelsea's as the most prolific academy. Not really sure though

Chelsea seem to keep hold of their players for longer and loan them all out till they’re about 25. Young players are poorly advised to stick with either team.

This should be better regulated as it screws over all the other clubs right the way down the leagues.

I’d imagine many also believe they are talented enough to quickly get into the first team.
Look at a player like Loftus cheek. Is 29 now playing for Milan, spent almost a decade on Chelsea’s books and only made about 100 odd appearances. (An extra 50 or so appearances on different loans)
Sure they had some injuries and maybe they’re happy with that, I dunno, but they’ve been a bit part most their career.
