New permanent signing Tim Howard has stated his belief that his new club has the ability to be playing European football next season.
Howard: "We are looking to make that push for Europe. Some teams say 'we aren't going to talk about it and see what happens'. We are going to talk about it; we set our sights high and we are going to push for it. It's a realistic goal and it's within our grasp. If we do things right, our destiny is in our own hands.
"If you want to be a big club - which we are - then you want to accomplish things and you have to make sure your targets are high and you can't settle for mediocrity.
"The fans share the ambition, the board do, the manager for sure, the players around me, we all share that same ambition and the same goals so if that wasn't the case I would have a very difficult time signing my future to the club but as I have I am very happy and we are going to stay ambitious for as long as we can."
