It could have been a red, it was never a penalty. It's like how the Richarlison one was a red after play was stopped. Point is we weren't "lucky" not to concede a penalty; it wasn't a penalty.

I wholeheartedly agree that it wasn't a penalty. However, a red in the 10th minute surely sinks us.

I didn't see much luck. We hit the post, DCL missed a sitter, they could have had two sent off - you can easily make the argument we were unlucky.

We got crazy lucky on the offside call, in two senses: it was 50/50, and we then got the call. With as close as it was, I find it hard to believe the implied argument that a "clear and obvious error" was made.

No we didn't get lucky on the offside call. It wasn't a 50/50. He was offside. 1mm offside is the same as 10 metres offside. It is objective. It's what the VAR technology is for.

It's a joke and it's ruining football, but it worked exactly as intended - no luck involved whatsoever.

Its about time we had that sort of luck on our side where var is concerned. Been arguing with one of my rs supporting mates and according to statistics liverpool were plus 2 for points gained last season and we were minus 1. Diving salah got a 10.5 against Newcastle at analfield an won a penalty if I remember rightly

By that logic it is a very clear red, since he blew him up when the ball was dead.

We nicked a point, but we were due for some good luck. Four points from two of our trickiest fixtures, and no sign that we'll let up on hammering the teams that will finish bottom half. Godfrey looks like a stud, which is fantastic.

Now we find out what happens when we don't have Richarlison pressuring the left. The answer to that will tell us a lot about whether we can stay top of the league.
We had some good luck, and some bad luck that has been quickly forgotten about thanks to Entitled FC. Robertson's kick out at Allan and Mane's trip on Mina - both targetting players far from the ball - completely ignored by officials during and pundits after like it didn't even happen.

The HaNdbaLL RuLe ShoUld BE ExTeNdEd to the SlEeVE

but at the same time, offside needs to be from the armpit

People who complain about these rules need slapping round the chops

Only controversy is why wasn’t play brought back and Robertson shown a red? Ref had to go to the monitor for that
