If you look at the thread on Oatcake the decent lads on there were disgusted by the 'runway chant'

Even they admit it was sung en masse near the end of the game several left the game early in embarresment and shame

United are hated by lots of people but a large section of Stoke City fans for whatever reason have an almost pathological hatred of us

Hope I come across on here as a level headed type

But when someone hates and insults my club and its legacy to that extent I revert to self defence mode

I read the thread and I do understand where you coming from.

Like and respect you as a poster and you might have noticed, I even gave you pos rep for that. You're right in defending your club. Every supporter of every club would be doing that. You even changed my opinion on United slightly, if I'm honest. You're a great poster and a credit to your club.(y)

I agree with you there mate, and no I'm not just tryin to suck up to yaz coz I'm on an Everton forum.

It wasn't Everton in particular, it was the fact that they didn't want five English teams in the competition, and Everton were made to pay. It could have been Man City or Fulham or anyone that night, UEFA had a plan and they succeeded.

Another example, remember what happened at Stamford Bridge last season when Barca visited? Even though justice was done in a way because of Chelsea's antics in the round before, I genuinely believe that UEFA were delighted Barcelona got through that night, in more ways than one...

The 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge. It's one of the best games I've ever been to but it was ruined by the antics of Didier Drogba. He limped off the pitch three times that night and dived so many times. It was the worst case of player simulation I have ever seen in my life.

They were the best team over the two legs to be fair.
