Rare. Most i know think they're the liverpool of the north east and constantly comparing themselves.
Right there are the two clubs i have the least time for
Newcastle goes back to the early sky days. Sky made them there little darlings( remember that pass the sick bag entertainers crap) under keegan and for some reason their fans mistook that for them being some huge club. And they've been deluded about it ever since.
For a club thats won f all they've got this real high opnion of themselves.

I agree a lot are idiots and deluded, but the lads I know are decent lads.

Could be absolute helmets when they go the game though I suppose!

I’m old enough to remember Keegan’s first season as Newcastle manager. They were regularly getting 12,000-15,000 in St James park, some times as low as 9,000. The Geordies didn’t want to know.

Keegan brought them great success based on outspending they opposition (Blackburn were starting to reduce their expenditure at that point).
They have been over-entitled since then. Their Club as we know it is only 30years old. They are all caught up in the style over substance thing, like West Ham fans generally are. That’s why West Ham binned Sam and Moyles even though they brought more success.

1. Those crowds didn’t happen under Keegan 2.Lowest ever average crowd over a season was 16,001 3. Everton had some shocking crowds in the nineties in the top division.
