Encouraging first half from the Blues

The only encouraging thing is that luck is back on our side. We should be 2 null down and lucky really to be level at half time. The only positive for me is that the players are putting a big shift in, in particular mykolenko which has been by far the best player in that first half.

We looked nervous at the beginning but have grown into it. Doucs actually played OK and Mykolenko getting decent balls into the box is good to see. Moyes has obviously told both FB's to get forward as we've created some good chances from Young and Mykolenko breaking forward.

We're still not utilising Ndiaye enough but he had some good spells in that half.

Should be at least two down. Mykolenko looks decent tonight though both in defence and attack, knew he'd be looking like Roberto Carlos in double quick time.

Clear difference has been the impetus to pass forward and do it quickly. Plenty of times the ball would have gone back and around.
Myko hit more decent crosses than he has all season

I think we should be losing. Probably on balance 1-2 would be fair. No improvements from anyone which makes it seem they were playing for dyche. We need players in fast and we also could do with a result in this one as games are running out

Nothing special in the first half but a bit more football from us than normal, lots of pressing and playing much further forward so rather than waiting for villa to get ten yards in our half we're meeting them ten yards into theirs.

That midfield 2 just doesn't work for me. I think Garner for either of them as soon as he's fit.

No creativity in that duo at all, we can't just keep recycling the ball like that, we need someone there who can spot a pass.

Sadly, no one at the moment. Maybe Armstrong with 30 to go? Fresh legs and all

It’s absolutely honking that. Possibly the worst centre midfield duo in the league

We are awful but no surprise there. How have we ended up with players who can't trap/pass or shoot?
Hopefully we can somehow nick a goal.

….rode our luck and probably fortunate to go in 0-0. Very little on offer from our wide attackers, it’s such a crucial area of threat that we continually fail to exploit.

First goal crucial here but hard to see us getting it.

You can tell we're growing in confidence. Keep a clean sheet and keep attacking when we get the chances.

Everything breaks down with Harrison, he's an empty shirt sadly. Also swear Young never plays well against these, always making mistakes.

I thought they showed more attacking intent, that’s for sure. It’s looks more positive to me.
