I thought we gave them a game and they weren’t two goals better than us.

Michael Keane is a walking mistake and that referee was one of the worst I’ve seen.

I absolutely did not understand their chants of “you’re cheats and you know you are” when they got every single decision their way, unfairly.

Starting eleven today

1 J Pickford
15 J O'Brien
6 J Tarkowski (c) .........now injured
32 J Branthwaite
19 V Mykolenko
27 I Gueye ..................OOC
37 J Garner
11 J Harrison ............Loan
16 A Doucouré ........OOC
10 I Ndiaye
22 A Broja ................Loan

subs n bench

12 J Neves Virgínia...OOC
2 N Patterson
5 M Keane ..................OOC
7 D McNeil
14 Beto
18 A Young...............OOC
23 S Coleman..........OOC
24 C Alcaraz ............Loan
42 T Iroegbunam

Six out of the starting eleven have first names beginning with J. 4 futures up in the starting 11. 5 out of 9 on the bench the same.

I can see loans with first option to buy being utilised more than anything this summer, Moyes is notorious for being cautious and frugal, he's never going to splash huge sums on a 50% rebuild all in one hit, it's to big a job for one window.

Despite the result, I thought Garner's performance was excellent and felt that he commanded the midfield as well as he ever had previously. Some of his tackles were sublime and he was a composed figure in the midfield. I really hope he can kick on and add some more goal involvements.

I am a little surprised that he only has 16 votes in the MOTM poll at the time of writing this post. Mykolenko was also superb but I felt that Garner was slightly better.

Stark contrast btwn the defensive work of Illi, Gana and Harrison and the 3 that came on.
McNeil off the pace, Charly floundering and Tim out of his depth.
Tough to expect the backline to cope with the change when Keane had already shaken the confidence.
Clearly Moyes should of staggered the changes, players going down with cramp and hamstring twinges is a red flag. Garner had a great def game but needed to be subbed as well.

It's disappointing but reckon Tim and Charly are not what's needed.
Like many I've been wanting to see Charly at 10 but it doesn't look like he can keep up with the game the way Doucs does, and not to the standard required.
Can see why Moyes sticks with Doucs. He's his type of player but he's going to need an upgrade.

With Gana going and Tim just not up to it, 2 CM should be a priority. Souceck for one would be a good.
10 minute cameo coming on against the champions and all of a sudden Tim and charly are written off? seriously?? Tim has had a decent first season that has been blighted by injuries, Charly has shown plenty already that I'd be hoping we make him a permanent signing....

87J Mcatee - youth product
82R Lewis - YP
47P Foden - YP - 45 England caps
45A Husanov 40 million euros
25M Akanji £15million
11J Doku £55million
10J Grealish £100million
8M Kovacic £30million
33S Carson - bosman

Bold subbed on.

A little compare and contrast.

I couldn’t care less if it was Jesus himself who rose up from the centre circle at Goodison and jogged over to take City’s corner - we shouldn't be clapping opposition players taking corners, that includes ex-players but especially ones who play for the Manchester clubs.
Not sure if you're aware, but some people go to the game because they enjoy watching football, not just to be a one eyed tribal moron for 90 minutes

Probably would have needed tomorrows scheduled game really, for histories sakes.
