I thought Patterson put in a decent performance, first start in a long time and playing out of position. Handled Saka reasonably well for 30 minutes.
Agreed. For some reason he gets a ton of hate on here which I don't get. I remember when he had a run in the team under Lampard and he was getting a ton of praise and he got injured on international duty and it was seen as a crisis. Strange how opinions change so freely

I like how all three of O'Brien, Branthwaite and Tarkowski were happy to throw their weight around specifically at the GK and his minders.

It's about damned time we didn't play so nice, would have liked to see some battles picked for them kicking out at Ndiaye.

Today saw Ndiaye start, and McNeil get a sub appearance. We'll look a different side again when McNeil gets back on free kicks and corners.

He has. But we would have a lot more points without Doucoure. Absolute liability. Cannot stand watching him and Harrison, but at least with Harrison, Moyes' hand is forced. Doucoure is self-inflicted.

That's fair. Moyes has undone the damage Dyche did to us in short order, but the Doucoure persistence over Alcaraz is bemusing. Surely we'd want to be playing the latter to get as good an idea as possible before parting with money?

Or is there a buy clause after X appearances? I'd still be taking the risk regardless based on the bits we've seen.
