Positives

At times, we looked excellent. The midfield was starting to string some good moves together, and for the first time in ages, we saw glimpses of us destroying a team. There is hope.

Negatives

Toothless most of the time, had more than enough chances to win this match. Can't escape the fact we returned to our usual dosage of horrendously bad luck with 2 decisions (the former, Saha's "goal", being inexcusable).

When they write the obituary for this season, it is not the injuries that will be the main theme, but that we time and again have dropped points at home against glorified pub teams.

Rubbish, honestly.

Massive shame, started wonderful - they equalised and our we lost all momentum and movement. In the final third we were terrible.

Credit to Birmingham though, when they woke up they got tight and done a job. Every ball into the box was swept up as they had complete aerial dominance.

Too many decent players for us that fail to stand up in these circumstances and that's why we are where we are. We had enough quality on that pitch to easily beat Birmingham, with all due respect, but we failed to push things enough.

I don't know what the answer is, Cahill needs to be dropped and something worked out there as he offered us nothing all game, Bily started bright for the tenth time then disappeared. After the first goal, we got nothing from the right flank - Id be tempted to start Coleman instead of Hibbert just for some impetus down there. On the plus side Fellaini looked good again and Neill and Heitinga did what they had to with no fuss, they even looked to play the ball out of defence which was a nice change.

We've allowed Wolves, Stoke and Birmingham to take points from Goodison this season which is not good enough.

Lets be honest, our season is a bit [Poor language removed] but we have to start picking up points some time soon due to our position in the league, credible draws against decent opposition mean [Poor language removed] all if you don't pick up the points against the teams you have to.

Referee's simply are not fit enough. They do not understand the rules of the game and i'm sorry but technology needs to be introduced somehow, even if it's just like the "challenges" you get in Tennis where you can only use the Technology a few times during a single match.

Yeah but unfortunately we need to be picking up 3 points on the road to make up for the lousy home form.

I can't see why we can't go there and win. Our defenders will need to be on form but our midfield is starting to look a bit better. I'm as massively frustrated as anyone about not winning today, but there is hope.

down by the riverside..........

happy days are ere again............ bad poor dismal....... we need cillit bang.. one spray an moyes is gone..

Hoofball is the absolute bain of my f*cking life..

Surely the players must see a pattern there - dominate teams through passing and moving it along the floor, then instantly surrender possession when the ball is played up the pitch through the air.

It's as if they tire completely half way through the first half and can't be arsed showing for the ball any more. Does my f*cking head in..

Awful result, we have wasted so many chance after the disallow goal it was unbelievable, no matter how pleasing the performance we had today, it is not much used if we can't find a winner, our subsititution was not good enough, Yakubu & Vaughan was right, as Billy and Osman is getting tired but Osman should have been taken off around the same time as Billy he clearly was tired.

And we needed Coleman to be on in the last 20 mins, we clearly could only attack on the left or middle and it makes it easier for Birmingham to defend in the second half, once they have been given some tips from there manager and coaches.

If Coleman could come on and add some attacking power on the right as well, Birmingham wouldn't be able to cope? We are wasting Coleman talent if we don't used him for the last 20~30 mins of the match, he might not be ready to play 90 mins week in week out, but certainly could cope for just 20~30 mins of a match. Great effort from the lads but awful result, keep up the good work and make sure we get the three points off Sunderland.
