We were the better team.

Fellaini was a monster. My MOTM. Followed closely by Seamus.

We will take care of them in the return leg, I just feel it.

Have to agree about us being naive when chelsea counter attacked. I was sitting with me mate in the park end and we were both screaming at seamie to take anelka out before he got the pass away. disgusted. Thats the one thing seamie has do better at, using his head a bit better. Even after they scored we had a bit of pressure in their box, the ball was played to him and cole i think flew in the tackle him and didnt get near the ball but seamie tried to stay on his feet, if that had of been at the other end lampard would have hit the deck and we would have lost 2-1 to a peno. He just needs to be a little smarter sometimes. Otherwise he was brilliant, when have you ever seen so little of Ashley Cole going forward

I thought he did well getting back up the pitch to Anelka when he broke. That should have been Neville stepping forward to cut Anelka off/down. He was the man in position and facing play. I'd attach no blame whatsover to SC for their goal. Neville and the the absentees on the left (Baines and Bily) screwed up.

Well...

...watched it late yesterday afternoon (busy all day) and in a word, gutted.

I won't say we played them off the park but we came close.

Too much to say and I'm sure it's already been covered so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks mate. Nice analysis.

And every picture tells a story....

I thought they did all they could with Anelka on the right.

Well that picture shows that coleman ran past anelka to get goal side, thats when imo, he should have made the foul, kill the game. I mean we are winning 1-0 there, thats what you do when you are in front, stop any ryhtym developing. The last thing you want at that stage is to be chasing back to your own goal. The foul would have allowed us to get all players back into position. Despite this seamie was brilliant, its a just a part of his game he has to learn.
