The only game I saw in it's entirety was the MLS Cup Final, and although he scored he didn't seem to do too much else in the game. Hopefully you are right and he was just a bit rusty.

In the playoff games leading up to the final everyone was wondering what was going on as he was clearly not quite "on." Looked slower, passes were slightly off target. He wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but he was clearly struggling. This year was not a good one for him starting during the Gold Cup - turns out he's had various injuries this year.

The MLS Cup Final he was running unencumbered and made some great combinations and passing plays. In watching with Galaxy fans we all said he looked much different than in previous weeks - good off the ball runs, pace, etc.

But it wasn't until the December friendlies that he just looked like he had his legs back - Bruce Arena literally said exactly that. He said Everton would benefit as Landon essentially took almost the entire month of October off to recover from injury. Then three weeks in December. He just looked healthy - something even the ratings at MLS.com noticed when grading the MLS Cup Final.

Seems like it based on quotes from here and now training as well. We're getting him fully rested and raring to go. I have no idea why Moyes wouldn't utilize that.

since landon turned up hes been a model pro ,hes given everyone a lift ,i have no faith in moyes going out and playing attacking football ,thats why i would not bet landon plays wed ,royston never trained today ,i dont think the team will show many changes from wba ffs

Thanks for answering!!!!

And god, that is downright depressing on Moyes part. And reminds me why Landon is one of my favorite players: model pro. Awesome.

If there is no LD and no Royston in the starting lineup on Wednesday I think there will be riots. Why on earth wouldn't you play a fit Landon Donovan and give yourself a better option than having a tired Phil Neville in midfield????????????? WHY???????????

I noticed the word BET in there.

So it is only statistically speaking.[/QUO i dont know what team he will start , i hope he does ,but being a gambler i would not put any money on it .but he has been looking the part in training

If this is the case and Moyes doesn't start him? He's lost his marbles. Cause I can't think of a single reason not to play him. He even tracks back and defends.

I'm beating a dead horse. Hoping that if I flog it it'll come true. (no offense to PETA)

I am buying a $15 a month channel just to watch this game. I cannot miss LD playing for Everton so his ass better be in the game.

I would hope Moyes starts like he finished the game against WBA. We all know he will start so negative and maybe bring on the offense at half or like he did last week at the 65th minute at the latest.

I'm moving a lunch meeting and trying to get my effing 1pm meeting moved 30 minutes later so that I can catch *almost* the entire game: 12-1:30. Plus I'll be closing my door and giving anyone the evil eye that tries to come in. And making sure a stream is up and running in plenty of time.

If Landon's a sub at minute 80 I'm going to be PISSED.

If Drenthe or Donavan are available he has to play at least one of them. The side he put out against WBA had no balance and we had no threat going forward, this was obvious to anyone watching. The subs made a small difference but not much as his midfield was still unbalanced. If scharner hadn't of headed back across his own six yard box from a prety crap cross, the subs making a difference wouldn't have been mentioned on the forum. He has to get his midfield sorted and a good balance between defence and attack, at the moment we are all defence and our whole goal threat seems to be a set piece or a defensive error. It isn't good enough.

Id like to see a 4-3-3 moving forward over the next few weeks taking advantage of drenthe and Donovan.

Howard
Hibbert jags heitinga Baines
Fellani
Rodwell Osman
Drenthe Donovan
Saha/Vic

Suits are players better. Saha could even play out wide. Did we play 4-3-3 against WBA? Obviously with the wrong personel mind.

OUR FFS!! OUR I can honestly say that I would be less irritated by people putting "Hour" than I am by "Are."

I can either see us being badly gash and drawing or showing a joyous 5-0 thumping so that MoyLez will be fuming about those three extra goals he didn't want.

Bring it on man !

If he persists with the 4-3-2-1 that he did against WBA, then I would like to see (fitness withstanding).

Howard
Hibbo Jags Distin Baines
Rodwell Heitinga Fellaini
Drenthe Landon
Straqualursi

Expect him to revert to 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1

Howard
Hibbert Jags Distin Baines
Fellaini/Neville Rodwell/Heitinga
Donovan/Osman Cahill Drenthe/Donovan/Osman
Straqualursi

If anyone deserves a starting berth at the moment it is Straq, if not for his own effort, but for the lack of effort off Louis.
