Back in our heyday (we only played the RS at goodison when we’d already won the league in a rearranged game at the end of the 84-85 season) we haven’t played a derby game with so much riding on it, towards the end of the season. Them going for the league and us in a relegation scrap. So to beat them and potentially derail their title push (don’t think it’s over personally arsenal and city still have tough games to play) whilst virtually assuring us of staying in the division makes this one of the most pleasing and pleasantly surprising derby games I’ve witnessed. Well done to all the players and staff, but most importantly the fans. We’ve had to put up with so much on and off the pitch this season, but goodison was at its bear pit best last night. It lifted our players and really got to theirs. So proud to be a blue today going in work.

What a result. Dreamland. Actually enjoyed the game until about 15 minutes to go, when it occured to me that we might actually win.
They all played well. Dom was the Dom that got himself into the England squad - he was a real handful and worked his nuts off.
But.... no buts today, just want to enjoy that.

I really, really enjoyed watching the whole match and I'll tell you why.

I came here to see what mood was like early in the match before watching the replay and when I opened the thread they'd
added 2-0 to the thread title. lol

Just flicked Sly Sports on just in the hope of seeing the goals again. Silly me though as I've sat here now for 20 mins and literally zero mention on last night's game. Only the mention of their chase for the "exciting" new manager

My son was newborn the last time we beat them at home, he’s a happy teenager going into school this morning!
