Was at the match, then came home and watched the recording of it (fast forwarded through abit of it)
Thought the Pienaar sending off probably was a sending off - at the match I thought it was a ludicrous decision! That Garcia made the most of it though, rolling around like he had been shot, then sprinting onto the pitch afterwards.
Thought the standout players for me were Coleman, Anichebe and Mucha. Mucha made some great saves, and I really doubt Howard would have made them! Yes he could have held onto the ball abit more, but he punched the ball clear out of trouble - great performance.
Anichebe had a great performance, ran everywhere, held the ball up and allowed the midfield to get upfront. Watched all those freekicks he conceded on set pieces and none of them should have been given - he just stands his ground.
Coleman was just fantastic, easily the MoM for me, terrorised their left back making some great runs and got the assist for Osmans goal, and not only attacking - his defending was great too - his defensive header at the back post to prevent Tevez from scoring was quality.
As for the referee, I thought he was awful along with the linesmen - for both teams! Barry should have gotten a booking for his foul on Distin in the first half, Milner should have been booked for his foul on Mirallas, Dzeko should have been sent off with a second yellow for diving...and not only that, goal wrongly disallowed, foul on Fellaini inside the box not given, Fellaini handball wrongly given outside the box. It was really just an awful performance.
Credit to the Goodison crowd I thought they were great, and just listening to SkySports then - they all seem to agree! Imo had the crowd not been so feisty the refereee wouldn't have **** out giving that penalty.
