i hope we see a 4-1-2-1-2 so arteta will actually play attacking midfield, i think his biggest problem is that he's been sitting back far too deep and relying on the wingers. with fellaini just behind him and no cahill in front of him, we might see the arteta we've longed for all season again

Liking the formation, but not all of the personel.

I'd have Osman over Arteta, and Yakubu or Anichebe over Saha, but then Moyes changing both his formation and his policy of never dropping the horribly out of form favourites, is perhaps too much to ask in one game. Here's hoping Bily gets more than 2 minutes too.

Oh and I'm a bit sad to see Heitinga play for us again. I thought we'd seen the last of him.

COYB.

Rein that type of stuff in and get behind the lad tonight mate ;)

Osman is a no no in a 4-4-2. He is just far too lightweight.

Pienaar is not going to have the freedom he normally has. He's going to have to stay pretty disiplined on the left there today. Which is good, because he's more effective with Baines there.

Not sure I agree to be honest. He's a scrappy player. Arteta isn't a big or strong, but he's scrappy. In fact IIRC it was Osman scrapping for and winning the ball in the center which lead to one of our goals in the Chelsea win I think?

Anyway, Osman deserves a chance in the center at some point, if Arteta's form is to persist.
