Agree, apart from the last bit. Don't think their first goal was great defending, unchallenged and bad positioning was essentially a free header
Agree; but all teams make mistakes at some point during a match no matter how good their defence is.

Some of it leads to goals, most times it does not, so you have to take the bad with the good.

Branthwaite and Tarkowski were brilliant for 90% of that match.

I think we made them look average.

They normally bully teams, give them a couple of knocks (they know the ref will protect them) and the team capitulates, and the media then creams themself at how brilliant they are.

You give it back to them and defend properly and then you get what happened last night.
Very true..... the likes of Dyke like to give it but can't take it at all!

That's the first time in a long time an Everton team went to the wire and didn't let themselves get bullied.

They stuck at it, didn't let the rs overpower them and got their rewards.

More than anything, that's a key ingredient Moyes tends to get right and it was there for all to see last night.

We've got multiple injuries, stretched to the brim, they had 100m+ of striker talent to bring on and they barely had a sniff. It wasn't a backs to the wall point either

Correct.

It's easy to allow the mask to remain in position when you bully teams.

When teams give it back to them (rarely happens as teams show them way too much respect) then it slips.
It's been pretty easy for Slot so far as well. Flying in league and the Champions league, media right up his hoop... first bit of adversity and WHOMP. Look at that fume.
