I think Doucoure's selection is to give us a bit more aggression in the midfield/attacking centre of the pitch. A fresh Alcaraz coming on in the second half against a tiring opposition might just work...
A Davey Moyes concession special today. United win 2-0.
Got to take the sad with the happy with our Davey…
Behind the couch.
Doucoure for Alcaraz. The die is cast.
Away win.
"He's only been here twodecadesweeks."
I'd imagine the abject weakness of Spurs last week will be put into stark relief today.
A defining game, in many ways. Win and safety looks assured - which will be a tremendous achievement by Moyes. Lose and we're back in the mire, because there aren't going to be too many handier home games left at Goodison after this.
That said, nothing is handy for these players.
Head on the block? I don't think we win this. The key will be not to lose it.
It'd be very much on-brand for many of tonight's protagonists have us end our overall Goodison derby record 41-42.
Convincing away win, I'm afraid.
Contract extension for the manager if he wins, mind.
We'll need it.
To most of us watching he is very limited but to all the so called experts he seems to so important to the team, but last week proved otherwise.Shameful Doucoure is back starting.
I normally hate the cliche about how we’re a tough physical match etc, because usually there’s an implication that we’re just crap at footy and it’s the only way we can win. You’re spot on though, this United team can’t hack it at all so we need to be relentlessly in their faces.Just need to work hard and be physical. This United side don't like being roughed up.
Maybe, as I reckon we’ll win thisUse your fingers.
You'll be facepalming in two hours anyway.
Hive mind at work, that's all.To most of us watching he is very limited but to all the so called experts he seems to so important to the team, but last week proved otherwise.
