I think a little more head and a little less heart is what's required for us to take all 3 points in games like this. Blood and thunder is all well and good if there is an element of control. That was true of our passing and build up, but our defence was a little agricultural at times and it put us under pressure around our own box, which they've scored from. This is if I'm being truly pedantic though. I was very impressed with defensive distribution and the way we committed players with our passing today to make space up the pitch. Long may that continue.

Experience in these tight situations against decent quality teams will be acquired. We have the man in the dugout to drum it into them too.

Just back. We were the better team there. Brilliant game of football. Horrific for the nerves, like. Couldn't relax for a ****ing millisecond. Really impressed with how we went about the game and didn't stop until we'd got that 3rd and looked to have won it. Especially delighted to see Lukaku and Mirallas back on form.

The sheer number of dangerous set-piece opportunities they had though, it was f*cking daft. We were going to concede because Gerrard nailed every one and we weren't defending them well.
