Everton could win three consecutive Premier League games if they dispatch Leicester. No idea when that last happened. A third win from four games for Moyes would also equal what Dyche managed in nineteen games this season. I hope the win comes but it just seems inconceivable that we could win three games on the bounce and Dyche would be made to appear completely utterly useless
Well to be fair we don't have to this game for dyche to appear completely utterly useless , his performances and lackluster results this season convey that notion

I'd settle for literally any setup that involves Doucoure to the bench

Watching him in possession makes my eyes bleed.

Wanna play him when we have 12% possession chasing the ball around? Fine.

Against a side like this? Good god

I disagree.

He is better when we want to play front foot, high pressing football against the lesser teams. He has great energy off the ball and is a total menace. In other words, he is a Goodison park player.

Actually it's against teams when we have 12% possession where we really need more guille on the ball; where we need to make use of it efficiently when we do have it to give the defence some rest-bite by retaining possession and ensure that we take advantage of our counter attacking opportunities. It's against those teams that Doucoure's deficiencies on the ball become a more outstanding liability.

Dyche's issue (one of the many) was that he seemed to use Doucoure the wrong way round?

However you use a player, they need to have control of the ball. This is something Doucoure fundamentally cannot do

Martin Sherif will be on the bench most likely, he was for Peterborough, Villa and Spurs. Worrying though that Begovic was deemed a more viable option on Saturday though

Whether Moyes would think he's good enough to bring on in a tight relegation six pointer is another thing

left off sat cos u 21 had game monday

Oh don't get me wrong I think he's awful on the ball full stop.

But he is a fantastic presser of the defence and is often directly responsible for final third turnovers (I hate that I've just used that expression). Also, the more you have of the ball, the less losing it becomes a critical mistake.

A lot of team selection and tactics is about finding a way to magnify the qualities of a player whilst hiding their deficiencies.

So I think playing him at home to Leicester makes more sense than away at Brighton.

Lose this and fail to bring in multiple new players by the deadline and all hell ought to break loose.

Just at a very minimum don't lose, but it's a very, very expected victory, arguably the most expected of victories in years.

Don't Everton this up.

First, lets agree that we all despise Leicester. From their 500.1 title win, to Vardy, to Helicopter crashes, to getting relegated and suing us for abusing PSR, to avoiding PSR by getting relegated, to the dreary part of the country they hail from.
We are all hoping for a resounding win and an end to our realistic fears of relegation. We are Everton, we know what happens next. My heart sayas this is a 3-0 win for us but that little squeeky voice in the small of my back says we lose 0-1.
Our morale seems high but realistically we are going into this with one fit striker available and having lost Mangala for the rest of the season, and with McNeil still out.-this will not be routine.

Moist likely XI:
Pickford
O'Brien - Tarkowski - Branthwaite - Mykolenko
Garner - Gana
Lindstrom - Doucoure - N'Diaye
Beto

Options from the Bench: Patterson, Armstrong, Harrison, Dixon
Bench fillers in case of ruckus: Virginia, Begovic, Keane, Sherif, Benjamin

Pickford
Patterson O’Brien Tarkowski Branthwaite Mykolenko

Garner Gueye

Lindstrom Ndiaye
Beto

Same system as before. Garner comes in for Mangala. Beto for DCL.
Patterson takes Lindstrom’s RWB hybrid role so Lindstrom can take Doucoure’s role.

we somehow get this over the line it will be devastating for the bottom 4. Spurs are never getting dragged into it so it becomes a straight shootout for one safe spot down there

They are away to Brentford and ipswich in the next few weeks. Unless they get some players back i can see them losing a few more before it gets comfortable for them. They're currently 4 points from 33.
I dont think they will either but they are one fragile side.
