Time for Beto to bag. Won’t get a better opportunity than this run of games with every other striker injured to show you can play at this level.
I remember seeing him attempt to control the ball at the weekend and it just went underneath his foot and away, I think he's absolute bodge and not up to it in the premier league. We need to find an alternative as soon as possible. I hope I am massively wrong but we all know he's got an ability limit.

The frustrating thing about Leicester winning yesterday isn’t so much that they’re gonna catch us (though the chances of that did increase), rather they visit Goodison in good spirits, and not off the back of eight consecutive defeats.

Before the Spurs game, I think a lot of us were looking at this one as a 'must win' to keep our heads above water, and the pressure would really have been on to get a win. Getting 2x wins on the spin has really relieved a lot of that pressure on this game now, which can only be a positive for us.

Don't get me wrong, 3 points would still be huge and (in my opinion) all but see us safe, but I think this now more of a 'must not lose' game. After the Villa game, if someone offered us 7 points from Spurs (H), Brighton (A) and Leicester (H) we'd have bitten their arm off.

Leicester concede chances for fun... a quick check on the BBC shows that in the 4x league games they played in January they conceded 54 shots at goal. Even QPR had 8 in the cup (scoring 2 of them).

0-1 Leicester (Pickford OG in the 99th minute).

Good to see that they are not coming to Goodison looking to end a run of defeats because we have a habit of losing to teams in need of a win, and any CF comes to Goodison on a long run of games without a goal gets one or two (DCL being the exception to the rule).
