Dyche team talk tonight

"If the wolf attacks, fend it off with sticks, rocks, bear spray, air horns, or any weapon that you have. Find an easily-defensible position: stand with your back against a tree or a large rock. You don't want the wolves to get behind you. Do not try to "hide in plain sight" or curl up into a fetal position."
"Keep the Wolves at the door lads"

Dyche team talk tonight:

"This is our Champions League final lads, and what do we do when we play in the Champions League final? We go for the 0-0. I don't care if we're 1-0 up or 3 down, we get 11 men back on corners and we do not, I repeat do not have the full backs overlapping the wingers. Myko, Youngey, you hear that?"

Heard a depressing stat, we've been beaten 4-0 15 times in our entire history.

Four of them on Dyche's watch 🤨

Anyway, have a good day at work everyone, as our evening won't be much fun.

I've seen us lose 4-0 two weeks in a row under Moyes once; I've seen us lose 4-0 under Kendall in May? I've seen us lose 4-0 under Ancelotti.

I've seen us lose under Martinez at Anfield 4-0 twice.

It's not exclusive to Dyche.

If that stat is right, i make out that prior to 1998, we'd lost 4-0 5 times in about 100 years

Likely closer to 50 times more like, or approaching that. Someone's being mischievous.

P.S Moyes did it three times in a month in 2005.

Ok I was curious and did a bit of research and it's 15 times since the mid eighties (including cup matches), of which yes Dyche has 4.

Still pretty bad mind, and he's an arrogant blowhard dinosaur who needs jettisoning for Moyes first thing tomorrow morning if we don't win tonight.

Need to break the duck on scoring. Not getting even a point if we fire blanks again tonight. Possibly won’t get a point with a single goal either.

One of many issues with building a team so utterly focussed on stopping the opposition scoring, the moment they do, and form suggests they will, heads go down and that’s that then, players give up and start tickling Rashford. Crowd will be justifiably quiet/toxic once they start strolling around, with only Pickfords voice trying to force something to happen.

Must score, and must score first. Ideally many many goals to break the tension.

Big big game. Not the greatest record turning up in those sort of games.
Heart wants 3-0.
Head says Wolves will be brave and attack fragile Everton.

Am a huge fan of the job Moyes did. I'm not sure he's the guy for us now, though. He didn't make a short-term impact at Real Betis, or Sunderland. Hammers were quick to get rid first time, but given longer he showed what he can do (work rate, organisation, concentration, culture). But he doesn't have 'longer' here.

Very happy / delighted / relieved to be proved wrong if he keeps us up. I'd snipe the guy at Bournemouth or Brentford first though. Both manage their sides tactically and are OK to watch. Everton would be a step-up for both, and it'd drag teams into the mix.

But if it is Moyes. Respect and fingers crossed!
