Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

As I said earlier you can believe what you want, people generally do.
Don't worry mate, your club has been made to look pretty foolish too. You might have got the player, but your club is a laughing stock. £89m for Pogba and an alleged £40m to the agent was one thing but £100m for Lukaku. I wonder what Raiola will get this time? Does this not strike you as just plain wrong?

Your team is going to get greeted with derision at every football ground in the country now.

No player is way too big for Everton. I suggest you learn the basics first.
Fellaini went to United....was he way too big for us? Ditto John Stones and Jolyon Lescott to Manchester City, and Franny Jeffers and Mikel Arteta to Arsenal. Do you need a proper list?
And who of those have actually kicked on to become better and more successful players? OK, the big Belgian mophead has won a couple of medals but no one can say he has been a resounding success. Other than Rooney (and possibly 'The best little Spaniard we know') l am struggling to think of another player in the last 10-20 years who has been a success away from Everton....oh, and possibly Keown...but who else.
Bottom line is most were half decent players in very average sides so shone out more but

The more l think about the more l believe this is a great deal for us. We've essentially sold Lukaku for c.£90m if allowing for the fact that United have spunked up something like £10-£15m to pay off the remainder of Rooney's contract. We have also attained a player who has unfinished business at Everton and although maybe in his twilight years will bring a winning mentality to the club. His experience will be invaluable to the younger players and he will be there to encourage and cajole.
I am absolutely certain that he will want to go out on a high with his beloved Everton and for his boys to see a successful finish to his career with the club they all support.
We are on the first leg of what will hopefully be an incredible journey and at this point the acquisition of Rooney may just be the catalyst to give us that initial momentum going forward. That is why both RK and Walshy were so keen to get him on board.

90m is one thing but this 100m keeps being bandied about. Rooney leaving is a separate deal and we waived fee to make it easier for him to leave as we were desperate for him to leave.

If you want to add a mythical figure on what we value Rooney go ahead.

As for the derision at away grounds that's the least of my worries.

It's no good being really happy with the fee we've received unless it's reinvested properly.

We obviously have to trust those involved to do that (they've done very well so far) but time will tell if it's a good deal for us or not.

Rooney isn't worth anything to us, him going for free is actually good as it makes his departure easier.

15m are add ons which United based journalists have said aren't easy to achieve, believe what you want mate.

Have a nice day.
Nothing has been agreed yet so whatever is being discussed is irrelevant.

We don't need to sell. At all.

your avatar pic of half naked gay men just put me off my breakfast, cheers!!

I liked Rom but not fussed about him leaving, I firmly believe he has held Barkley back. Rom is not as good as he thinks and has a lot more areas to work on his game. He is not worth the money that has been bid, for 100m I would expect Griezman and change. Desperation this bid by United and I can honestly say it feels great to rip them off like City with Stones.

Keep going mate. You had the beginnings of a new Python sketch there.

Hiopefully Chelsea bid more to try and get him and we can fleece whichever want him most for another £5m-£10m just for giggles.

Lescott, fellaini and arteta all went on to win trophies during there times at there new clubs. And all gone on to play in the CL (the holy grail for footballers atm)
Something everton have not done for 20 odd years.
I would say that justifys all there moves.
I understand were you are coming from, none of the above named were as important to there new clubs as they were for us, but i think that is more down to joining a side with better players and bigger ambitions.

No need to worry though, we will have them players soon, and mosh has them ambitions
